Be Here Now: Russian Film Forum @ The Linda, Albany

The Russian Film Forum is bringing an entire weekend of new cinema to The Linda, with special appearances by a number of noted Russian directors. Here’s the schedule:

Friday, February 5:

  • 7pm-8pm: a reception with Russian food and wine.
  • 8pm-9:30pm: A screening of the documentary “Konstantin and Mouse” with director Andrei Zagdansky (Admission $8 per person, $15 three day pass)

Saturday, February 6th:

  • 1pm-2:30pm: Free family films – an assortment of animated and live action films for the whole family from Master-Film Studio, Moscow (FREE)
  • 3pm-5:00 pm: A free family film – “The Twelfth Summer”, a feature film directed by Pavel Fattakhutdinov (FREE)
  • 7pm-8pm: a reception with Russian food and wine
  • 8pm-9:30pm: A screening of “The Empress and the Rebel”, 2008 with director Ekaterina Toldonova (Admission $8 per person, $15 three day pass)
  • 9:30pm-10:15pm: A roundtable discussion with filmakers Ekaterina Toldonova and Pavel Fattakhutdinov

Sunday February 7th, 11am – 4pm

  • Three documentaries, including “Doesn’t Hurt None,” “No Toys” and “Liza” (Admission: $6 per person, $15 three day pass)
  • Roundtable Discussion: 4:00pm – 5:00pm
