“‘The White Album’ by the Beatles. I bought it right when it came out. I was like nine years old. I had older brothers, so I was kind of more hip to music as a younger kid. I loved that album. I played it to death.

That was my first album, but I might have bought some 45s before that. I remember that I used to have the single ‘Runnin’ Blue’ by the Doors. And I had some earlier Beatles’ singles, like ‘Penny Lane.’ And I definitely had the ‘Honky Tonk Women’ single, too.”

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Walter Salas-Humara leads his band the Silos into Valentine’s Music Hall in Albany on Saturday night (October 15). Howe Glassman and Grainbelt open the show at 9pm. Tix are $10. NOTE: Spottiswoode & His Enemies who were also originally slated to play at this show have dropped off the bill and will not be performing.
