Festival Fever: Albany Tulip Fest Line-Up Announced

April showers bring May flowers. And along with the May flowers comes Albany’s annual Tulip Festival, of course.

The 64th annual Albany Tulip Festival takes over Washington Park in Albany from 11am-6pm on Saturday and Sunday, May 12-13. As usual, the park will be chockful of food vendors, arts & crafts, children’s activities, lots of continuous music on two stages, and plenty of tulips in bloom, too. And, yes, it’s all free.

Here’s the line-up of entertainment for the 2012 Albany Tulip Festival:

SATURDAY, MAY 12
THE LAKEHOUSE AMPHITHEATER STAGE
11am: The Mendelssohn Club
11:30am: The Sweet Adelines
1pm: The LateShift, alt-rockers
2:15pm: Barkeater, North Country roots-rock duo
3:30pm: The City That Never Sleeps, alt-rockers
4:45pm: Conehead Buddha, reunited jam band faves

THE PARADE GROUNDS MAIN STAGE
1pm: Today the Moon, Tomorrow the Sun, Atlanta rock quartet led by Lauren Gibson
2:30pm: Walk the Moon, Cincinnati indie-rock quartet
4pm: Fountains of Wayne, quirky power popsters led by Chris Collingwood and Adam Schlesinger

SUNDAY, MAY 13
