In remembrance of the first anniversary of Dustin Mele’s passing, Nippertown’s finest rockers gather to raise funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. MUSIC: Trio Solisti @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Troy Chromatic Concerts presents violinist Maria Bachmann, cellist Alexis Pia Gerlach and pianist Jon Klibonoff with guest violist Hsin-Yun Huang performing selections from David Hopper, Philip Glass, Ernest Chausson and Johannes Brahms. A free pre-concert talk will precede the concert at 2pm at the Rensselaer County Historical Society. 3pm. $25 & $35.

MUSIC: Brother Sun @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. They’ve hit the top of the Folk DJ charts and landed on the “best of” lists. They’re as warm as a campfire, as stirring as gospel church, as rousing as a call to arms. They are fab folk soloists Pat Wictor, Greg Greenway and Joe Jencks, performing together as a trio. 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: Ustad Shafaat Khan @ Time + Space Limited, Hudson. The first known artist to attain simultaneous excellence in performing on the sitar, surbahar and tabla. He has released three historic CDs produced by Deepak Chopra, in which he performed on the sitar and surbahar, and accompanied himself on the tabla. Followed by an authentic Indian meal in the cafe. 2pm. $25.

MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: The Devil Wears Prada @ the Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. The annual Take Action Tour helps raise funds for Living the Dream, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope and inspiration to children and young adults afflicted with life threatening diseases. With the Ghost Inside, I Killed the Prom Queen and Dangerkids. 7pm. $23.

MUSIC: Mike Gordon @ the Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Before he teams up with his Phish-mates for their three-day July of July weekend stand at SPAC, the Phish bassist brings his “other” band to Woodstock for an intriguing interactive concert experience in support of his new solo album, Overstep. 8pm. $35 & $45.

THEATER: “Gypsy: A Musical Fable” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany.”Everything’s Coming Up Roses…” Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill directs the classic musical based on the memoirs of famed stripper Gypsy Rose Lee, featuring a cast of 23 from Broadway star Mary Callanan to local TV personality Benita Zahn. 2pm. $20-$65. MUSIC: Ying String Quartet @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. Under the direction of Michael Emery, the Grammy Award-winning quartet performs as part of Skidmore’s 10th annual string festival, along with all participating festival quartets. 2pm. FREE.

CIRCUS/CABARET: Bindlestiff Family Cirkus @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The monthly winter-time, family-oriented cabaret features a variety of circus, theater, comedy and musical entertainers, including trapeze, contortion, acrobatic balance, sword swallowing, juggling, physical comedy and oddball novelty turns. This family-friendly program is tailored for audiences of all ages. 3pm. $15; $10 children.

THEATER: “Fiddler On the Roof” @ Sand Lake Center for the Arts, Averill Park. Co-directed by Sue Frost and Val Kavanaugh, the Circle Theatre Players present the universal story about preserving the essence of tradition in the face of inevitable change. THEATER: “A Piece of My Heart” @ Confetti Stage at the Albany Masonic Hall’s Fourth Floor Theater, Albany. Written by Shirley Lauro and directed by Linda Shirey, the play is based on the actual accounts of the diverse women who served our country in the Vietnam War. 2pm. $15. Through April 6.
