The Egg Adds New Concerts

King Crimson is headed into The Egg in Albany for a two-night stand. Led by guitarist Robert Fripp (the band’s only constant member over the years), the legendary progressive rock band is slated to take over The Egg for shows at 8pm on Tuesday & Wednesday, September 9 & 10. Priced at $36.75–$43.75, tickets are scheduled to go on sale to the general public at 11am on Friday (June 6).
King Crimson’s new line-up will feature Robert Fripp (guitar), Tony Levin (bass and vocals), Mel Collins (sax, flute), Jakko Jakszyk (guitar, vocals) and three – count ’em, 3 – drummers: Gavin Harrison, Bill Rieflin and Pat Mastelotto.
Also new on The Egg’s concert calendar is a return appearance by veteran guitar hero Robin Trower, who steps into the spotlight at 8pm on Tuesday, October 21 in celebration of the 40th anniversary of his historic album, Bridge of Sighs, a collection of songs that have Influenced a generation of musicians. Tickets go on sale at 11am on Friday (June 6).

That is pretty awesome. The Egg has had some awesome shows this year: Jon Anderson, Zuchero (all the way from Italy), Rodrigo y Gabriella, Yes (in July) and now King Crimson. Pretty awesome!!
