Win FREE Tickets to Bear Grass at Steamer No. 10 Theatre on Friday

Bear Grass
Bear Grass

Katie Hammon’s marvelous and moody combo Bear Grass headlines an evening spotlighting Nippertown’s ever-cross-pollinating music scene in an intimate theater setting at 8pm Friday (October 3) at the Steamer No. 10 Theatre in Albany.

Joining Bear Grass in concert at the Steamer will be the hypnotic instrumental duo Rosary Beard (who held their CD release party at the Steamer back in 2012) and the Firs.

And, oh, what a tangled, homespun web we weave…

In addition to Hammon, Bear Grass features Ian White,
 Stephen Stanley,
Tommy Krebs
and August Sagehorn (the latter two formerly of Alta Mira). Rosary Beard features the twin acoustic guitars of Matthew Loiacono (who worked extensively with Hammon in his guise as Matthew Carefully) and Hunter Sagehorn (also a former member of Alta Mira). And the Firs feature Rick Spataro (Hammon’s co-conspirator in their previous musical effort Slender Shoulders) with Jonnie Baker.

Musical incest never sounded so sweet.

Tickets for the concert with Bear Grass, Rosary Beard and the Firs are $12 in advance; $15 at the door.
