Nipper can be yours!

No, not Albany’s iconic 28-foot tall, four-ton Nipper, but rather one of the colorful, three-foot statues customized by talented Greater Nippertown artists. They have been been on exhibit at various downtown Albany locations for the past year, and they’re about to retire from active duty of guarding our streets. Now they’re in search of their forever homes.

The Downtown is Pawsome sculptures are about to be auctioned off at the Garden at the Olde English Pub at 7pm on Friday (September 21). Tickets for the auction are on sale here, priced at $10. Tickets include light fare.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the artists, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and the Downtown BID’s efforts to revitalize downtown Albany.
