Win FREE TICKETS to Chris Pasin’s Ornettiquette @ Sanctuary for Independent Media on Saturday

Hold onto your hats!

Jazz trumpeter Chris Pasin is bringing his band Ornettiquette to the Sanctuary for Independent Media in Troy for a musical joyride inspired by free jazz pioneers Ornette Coleman and Don Cherry at 7pm on Saturday (November 10).

The concert is the album release party for Ornettiquette’s self-titled album on Catskill’s Planet Arts label. Joining Pasin in his salute to Pulitzer Prize winner Coleman and his long-time collaborator Cherry will be an all-star band featuring vibraphonist Karl Berger and vocalist Ingrid Sertso, both of whom have played with Coleman and Cherry. Rounding out the band are bassist (and Troy native) Michael Bisio, drummer Harvey Sorgen and saxman Adam Siegel.

Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20.

BUT WAIT… We’re giving away a pair of FREE TICKETS to the concert to a lucky Nippertown reader. To enter the contest, just post a comment below. Please leave your email address, too. We won’t publish it, but we’ll use it to contact you if you win. The deadline to enter is 12:30pm on Friday (November 9), and the winner will be selected at random and notified on Friday afternoon.
