Canadian Pacific Holiday Train to Stop in Saratoga and Mechanicville with Free Concert Tuesday, Nov 26 to Benefit Hungry

The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train celebrates 20 years of its festive coast-to-coast journey and will be to Upstate New York on Tuesday, November 26th, with a free concert.

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

Since its inaugural journey back in 1999, the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train has traveled to cities covered in lights, filled with music, and spreading the heart of their mission: the fight against hunger. In its two decades of operation, the Holiday Train has now raised more than C$15.8 million and collected 4.5 million pounds of food.

Both the U.S. and Canadian train will leave Montreal on Nov. 25. The train will hit its first Upstate NY stop in Mechanicville. This year the musical guest for the stops in Upstate NY will be Canadian folk rockers Alan Doyle and Beautiful Band. At each stop, the train will roll up and the stage will roll down to entertain those who come to see the train.

Free Concert with The Holiday Train

Each event is free, but attendees are encouraged to donate food and funds to address to hunger needs this holiday season. Local food banks in each Holiday Train stop will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food. The Holiday Train will also provide a corporate contribution to the local food banks.

Train Schedule in New York’s Capital Region & Adirondacks for Tuesday, November 26, 2019 includes the following stops:

  • Mechanicville – Parking Lot adjacent to CP tracks, 300 Park Avenue at 5:50 p.m.
  • Saratoga Springs – Amtrak Station at 7:20 p.m.

Remember to bring food donations if you go!
