The Attic Classic:  There have been some powerhouse young woman vocalists to emerge from this area. Mallory O’Donnell‘s impressive debut on her 2006 CD ‘Joy’ was one such instance. Produced by Greenwich singer-songwriter Bob Warren and bassist extraordinaire Tony Markellis, they brought onboard an outstanding group of local musicians and backing singers to flesh out the dozen tunes Bob had written for the album. They covered a wide range of styles, from R&B and soul, jazz, pop folk and a bit of rock n roll.

As a young, 18-year-old singer Mallory was able to take each of the songs and bring to them a voice and talent that a singer with years of experience would typically offer. Hearing her, it seemed effortless her ability to bring just the right touch.

With each song a stand-out, it was difficult to choose which to feature as the Attic Classic, but the jazzy “Everything About You” seems to be a proper late-night song.
