LIVE: Girl Blue & Mikaela Davis @ The Hollow, 05/07/2022

On Saturday, May 8th, patrons at The Hollow in Albany kicked off their Mothers Day weekend with the perfect lineup: Girl Blue and Mikaela Davis. These two ladies, along with their powerful pipes, left the audience stunned, breathless, and begging for more. If you haven’t gotten to see these ladies perform yet you should know that you’re missing some of the best pipes you will ever get the chance to hear. 

Girl Blue

First up was Arielle O’Keefe aka Girl Blue hailing from right here in upstate NY. Frankly, I didn’t know it was possible for so much sound to come out of such a little package. Not only is her massive vocal range something for the record books, but she writes her own music too — and her lyrics are as brilliant as her voice. Mikaela Davis  

Closing out the evening was Mikaela Davis with the voice of an angel — and she even plays the harp. Yes, you read that correctly. Mikaela is a classically trained musician and she planned to join the symphony after school. Luckily for us, she decided to do something else entirely with her harp. She ended up creating a totally unique sound that you have to hear to believe.
