WGNA’s Heartstrings for Hope with Parker McCollum coming to Frog Alley

Frog Alley Brewing Company in Schenectady will be hosting 107.7 WGNA’s annual St. Jude’s Heartstrings for Hope fundraiser on Wednesday, May 18th. All ticket proceeds will go directly to WGNA’s Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon. St. Jude provides much-needed care for children struggling with catastrophic diseases, particularly cancer. These families are not charged for the care provided.

The event is back after a two-year, COVID-related hiatus. WGNA has brought in some big names in the past for this event. Granger Smith headlined in 2017, Luke Combs in 2018, and Mitchell Tenpenny in 2019. This year is no different. Headlining the 2022 edition is Parker McCollum. The Conroe, Texas native recently won the Academy of Country Music’s New Male Artist of the Year Award. He already has two number-one singles under his belt. “Pretty Heart” and “To Be Loved By You” have both gone to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart. The 29-year-old has a bright future and will no doubt be playing a much larger, less intimate venue the next time he comes through the Capital Region.

Newcomer Kassi Ashton will open the show. Doors are at 6 PM and the show will start at 7:30 PM. Tickets are only $15 in advance, $20 the day of the show, and are on sale now, here. Head out to Frog Alley on Wednesday night to support one of the best charities going and to enjoy a future superstar in an intimate acoustic setting.
