Skidmore College announces 21st season of “Upbeat on the Roof” concert series

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Skidmore College has announced the lineup for the 2022 season of its Upbeat on the Roof concert series. Each summer, the Tang Teaching Museum (on the college’s North Broadway campus) hosts a series of concerts on its roof. These concerts highlight regional musical talent across a wide variety of styles. Shows are held Thursday nights at 6:00 pm, from July 7 to August 18, and are free and open to the public.

2022 Schedule

  • July 7: Heavenly Echoes (Southern-style gospel music)
  • July 14: Carolyn Shapiro (old-style banjo and songwriting)
  • July 21: Bruiser and Bicyce (indie folk-pop)
  • July 28: The Pine Hills Band (alt-country and bluegrass)
  • August 4: Alta Havana (Cuban music)
  • August 11: Heard (World music and jazz)
  • August 18: Henry Raker and the Fungi (jazz-funk)

The rooftop is accessible via the museum elevator or outdoor staircases, and (in the case of inclement weather) shows are moved inside the museum.
