Worth a Drive: The 35th Annual Green River Festival

NORTHAMPTON, MA – The Green River Festival, which celebrates 35 years this year, has announced its lineup with headliners Lake Street Dive, Father John MistyGusterWaxahatcheeRipeGalactic, and many more. Named one of “fifty essential summer music festivals” by The New York Times, Green River Festival, to be held June 24-26, is Western Massachusetts’ signature summer event. The festival is a spectacular celebration of music and community: a world-class lineup of over 30 acts on four stages, the best in local food, beer and wine, handmade juried crafts at The Makers Market, a wide array of kid’s activities and music, and camping.

“We are so excited to welcome our musical community back to the fairgrounds this June,” says Green River’s Festival Director, Jim Olsen. “We had a great first experience at the fairgrounds last August. It’s a much larger facility with great infrastructure. For the first time we were able to host both RV and tent campers on site and still have plenty of space for three stages of music and all the other elements that make Green River Festival special.  We know it will be even better in 2022.”
