NORTH ADAMS – The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) is consistently one of the best mini-excursions to be had in the Nippertown area. Sure, it’s obviously a world-class destination for contemporary art in a visually stunning space, but it’s so much more. Sculpture, dance, film, painting, photography, theater…any and all of it awaits you on any given day. Not to mention music. The Fresh Grass Festival is the most obvious example, but by no means the only one. This eastern edge of Nippertown consistently fields some of the most exciting musicians out there.
Check out this video for a look back at the year 2022 at MASS MoCA, and get yourself primed for 2023. It is about an hour’s drive from Nipper, and the perfect destination for making a day of it. If you haven’t yet visited, do yourself a favor.
