Art Town is an upstate NY podcast hosted by Justin Baker. Inspired by art and craft, once a month Justin sits down with regional artists and artisans to discuss their work, inspiration, and life.

This month’s artist Zack Lobdell’s prolific work reaches back over 20 years. Never settling into a single style or medium, he believes the keys to creativity and inspiration are exploration, experimentation, and consistent evolution.

Zack’s work has been collected, exhibited, and represented internationally, including in Singapore, London, Miami, New York City, and the United States. He can be found in his home and studio in Washington County, New York, uncovering his next exciting movement.

Justin Baker grew up in Greenwich, NY. He attended the Sage College of Albany for two years and studied photography. The next two years were spent playing music and writing songs with his friends. Purchase College came next, where his artistic strides led him to printmaking and again photography. In 2007, Justin received his MFA with a concentration in combined media at the University at Albany. Justin teaches digital imaging, and web art and design at Hudson Valley Community College. He is also a board member of Collar Works Gallery in Troy.
