Today marks the beginning of Nippertown’s March “Music” Madness tournament, which will spotlight up-and-coming acts from the Capital Region. Over 150 musicians and bands from multiple genres have been nominated to compete in the event. With prizes such as $1600 cash, a three-day recording session at White Lake Music and Bridge Road Entertainment, and a spot on the Main Stage of NipperFest 2023, this tournament is sure to draw attention from fans and bands across the region.
Each artist will go up against a new opponent as the competition progresses, and local music lovers will be encouraged to vote for their favorite bands to help them advance. Voting will take place each week from Wednesday to Saturday on Nippertown.com, with the results being announced on Wednesdays in The Spot 518 and on the website. The list of competitors is available below, so show your support by buying their music or merchandise on Bandcamp or their websites!

To vote in Round 1 of the tournament, https://nippertown.com/2023/02/22/2023-march-music-madness-round-1-voting/. Polls are open from Wednesday morning at 10 am to Saturday night at midnight. Any votes logged outside of that time period or attempts at ballot stuffing will not count.
