Concert Review: Acrobat (U2 Tribute) @ Cohoes Music Hall, 02/25/2023

Acrobat, an International U2 Tribute Band, first appeared in the region on Saturday, despite the snow and 18-degree weather.

Fans of the Irish rock band U2 filled Cohoes Music Hall to listen to some of the best rock music ever. The live U2 concert experience initially formed in 2014, has reached the speakers of many top-known venues, including The House of Blues, Hard Rock, Universal Music, oh, and let’s not forget Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.

In July 2015, U2 invited the tribute band to perform “Desire” onstage in front of a 22,000+ crowd. Now, even though the Music Hall lacks seating for a crowd like that, the energy brought by lead singer Gabriel and the rest of the band didn’t fall short.

Covering top hits such as “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “One,” “New Year’s Day,” and more had the crowd on their feet moving in “Mysterious Ways”… Acrobat had one of the best ‘crowd-interaction’ sets we’ve seen. Running upstairs to sing in the balcony, pulling fans on stage to dance, and allowing crowd members to sing into the mic are just a few examples of why you NEED to see them!
