Lineup for the Fifth Annual Eddies Award Ceremony Announced

SCHENECTADY – The lineup for the Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards (The Eddies) has been announced. The event, held on the MainStage at Proctors and taking place April 30th, is set to be emcee’d by Greg Aidala and will feature six of this year’s nominees: E.R.I.E., Annie in the Water, Jim Gaudet & The Railroad Boys, Heard, Sydney Worthley, and Victory Soul Orchestra. Audiences are welcomed to come out and participate in the fifth annual Eddies, made possible by Proctors Collaborative, as the area celebrates the local music scene. Hosting the event is Eddies’ founder, Jim Murphy, and administrator, Kelly Auricchio.

The line-up represents a range of musical styles, including mainstream and indie rock, funk, singer-songwriter, outlaw country, and jam band sounds.

“You can’t have a music awards show without exciting musical performances,” commented Murphy. “And we have no shortage of amazing local artists to choose from. It is one of the most enjoyable tasks and one of the hardest decisions because there are always way more artists we would like to present than is possible.”

About Aidala, Murphy added, “The ideal emcee is someone who has one foot in the comedy world and one in the music world. Although Greg focuses on comedy, acting, and producing, he plays guitar, drums, and harmonica and sings on the side. He is going to bring even more energy to the production.”
