Summer at the Plaza Unveils Lineup for the Capital Concert Series

ALBANY – Get ready for an unforgettable summer at the Empire State Plaza with the Capital Concert Series! Presented by Miller Lite and DeCrescente Distributing Company, the free concert series will feature an impressive lineup of musical acts.

Kicking off the season on July 4th, percussionist and singer Sheila E. will headline New York State’s Fourth of July celebration, presented by Price Chopper/Market 32. On July 12th, alternative rock bands Spin Doctors and Cracker will take the stage, followed by Night Ranger on July 19th, and country music stars Eli Young Band on July 26th. The concert series will culminate on August 2nd with performances by hip-hop legends Big Daddy Kane, Roxanne Shante, and Black Sheep. All concerts will begin at 5:30 p.m.

July 12, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Spin Doctors and Cracker
July 19, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Night Ranger
July 26, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Eli Young Band
Aug. 2, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.: Big Daddy Kane with performances by Roxanne Shanté and Black Sheep
