Rival Sons, The Record Company and Starcrawler, to Perform at Empire Live, June 4th

ALBANY – On Sunday, June 4th, Rival Sons will take the stage at Empire Live. The rock band is currently on tour in support of their new record, Darkfighter. Appearing as special guests that night are The Record Company and Starcrawler.

Formed in Long Beach, California, the band consists of Jay Buchanan on lead vocals, Scott Holiday on guitar, Dave Beste on bass, and Michael Miley on drums. Over their 14 years as a band, Rival Sons have released six LPs, and one EP, with their latest album, Darkfighter, due out on June 2nd. Citing influences from a broad spectrum of sounds, Rival Sons are often compared to sounds of the 1970s and have cited Prince, The Roots, Muddy Waters, Joni Mitchell, Sly and the Family Stone, and Van Morrison as stylistic influences.
