The Mansion of Saratoga to Host Joe Posa as Joan Rivers, Celebrating What Would be Her 90th Birthday, June 8th

ROCK CITY FALLS – On June 8th, The Mansion of Saratoga opens its 2023 Mansion 801 Concert Series with a performance by Joe Posa. The award winning actor and celebrity impersonator returns to The Mansion on the evening of what would be Joan Rivers’ 90th birthday for a hilarious 90-minute tribute. Those in attendance will get quite an entertaining night with Joe Posa as Joan Rivers: “The B**ch is Back for Her 90th Birthday!”

Internationally acclaimed celebrity impersonator and SAG actor Joe Posa has made a name for himself in show business. He began his career in musical theater and was cast in the international touring company of West Side Story. Other musicals include regional productions of A Chorus Line, Grease, South Pacific, and Anything Goes, to name a few. Film credits include Rooftops, Scent of a Woman, Carlito’s Way, Night and the City, The Associate, and The Mirror Has Two Faces. Television credits include Law & Order and NYPD Blue. Joe was also the stand in for Anthony Jr. on The Sopranos.

In 1993, Joe became a cast member of An Evening at La Cage in NYC where he portrayed Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli. He was then cast in other revues in Aruba and St. Martin adding Gloria Estefan and Michael Jackson to his repertoire. On television, he portrayed Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane character alongside her on an Episode of All My Children, as well as Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon’s character with her on 30 Rock. He then added Joan Rivers to his act, and the rest, as they say, is history.

He has appeared alongside Ms. Rivers on multiple occasions. He was called by Joan her “favorite Joan Rivers Impersonator.” He took his act on the road and at times shared the stage with Tony Tripoli. Tony was Joan’s head comedy writer and co-executive producer of Fashion Police as well as Joan’s opening act.

Joe has produced and starred in multiple shows in NYC, Boston, Provincetown, Puerto Vallarta, Ogunquit, Rehoboth, London and other cities for nearly 25 years. His productions include Guys As Dolls with costar Joanna, Joe Posa Poses, An Evening at the Birdcage with co-star Thirsty Burlington and Tributes with co-star Seth Sikes, as well as his stand-up shows portraying the iconic Joan Rivers. Joe can also be seen working the Red Carpet as Joan for corporate and private events and also fundraisers.

Since Ms. Rivers’ passing in 2014, he has been committed keeping Joan’s memory alive by recreating the comic genius’s act in venues around the world.
