Built4BBQ’s Star Spangled Bonanza at The Hangar on July 1

On Saturday, July 1, at The Hangar on the Hudson, the local DIY music collective Built4BBQ presents its seventh somewhat annual Star Spangled Bonanza, featuring the best rock ‘n’ roll in the northeast. The doors open at 6 o’clock, and the music starts at 7. The Ale House’s barbecue from the parking lot completes the meal.

The delicious mixed bill includes:

  • Pinstripe Melee, a 518 ska group, returns to the stage for the first time since 2009.
  • Henry’s Rifle, a one-man country blues troubadour, performs a rare performance.
  • Local punks Girth Control.
  • Hilltown noise machines Turf ‘n’ Turf.
  • Capital Region garage-rock weirdos, The Abyssmals.
  • Boston folk-punk group Coffin Salesman.

For those who enjoy everything fast, loud, fun, sad, and odd, there is music for you to dance to.

Built4BBQ is a group of local musicians that came together in 2010 to enjoy good music and fun. The group has largely ceased its activities in the 2020s but will not disappear. The group produces music, prints clothing, and promotes events such as Star Spangled Bonanza’s 4th of Jule celebrations. B4BBQ has released over a dozen EPs and albums by some of Capital Region’s best rock and roller bands. For more information, music, and a little history about local music, visit www.built4bbq.com.
