Wild in the Trees Festival 2023 Lineup Announced

LAKE GEORGE – Summer ain’t the only festival szn – that’s right! Presented by Mirth Films, the second annual Wild in the Trees Music and Skate Festival will be held Columbus Day weekend (October 7th and 8th) at Lake George Skate Park Plaza. The lineup – announced today – features an array of local talent including Joe Mansman & the Midnight Revival Band, Candy Ambulance, Victory Soul Orchestra and more. In addition, an official after party with Two Planets Away at The Lagoon in the heart of Lake George will take place on night one.

Back in 2008, local skateboarders in Lake George, NY brought to the town’s attention the need for a skate park. Through various board meetings and the creation of a skateboarding committee put together by skaters, family members and community leaders, they began raising money for the venture. “Wild in the Trees is our way of paying homage to all efforts made to raise money to build the Lake George Skate Plaza while embracing all the incredible musical talent regionally and beyond,” Mirth Films’ Frankie Cavone says.

In that spirit, both days of the festival will feature a variety of skateboarding contests where skaters will have the chance of winning prizes from Seasons Skateshop and Corners Skateshop. (We’re holding out hope that some of these contests will be inspired by Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, e.g. finding a secret VHS tape, or collecting the letters S-K-A-T-E…)

In addition, the grounds of the festival will host some of the area’s best food and craft beer along with over 20 craft vendors. Better mark your calendars – we can’t think of a better way to spend the holiday weekend.

Weekend and single-day passes are available now by heading to Mirth-Films.com/WildintheTrees – 50% of all ticket sales directly benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Capital Region.
