Conehead Buddha to Perform at Troy’s Rockin’ on the River, July 26th

TROY – Continuing this year’s Rockin’ on the River series, Conehead Buddha is set to take the stage at the Riverfront Park on July 26th. Audiences for this free, family-friendly event are warmly welcomed to come jam out with one of Upstate NY’s original genre-blending jam bands. Starting the evening out is Josh & Tracy.

Formed in 1993 in Upstate New York, Conehead Buddha Is led by singer and guitarist Chris Fisher. Blending genres of rock, funk, Latin, and ska, the band soon became local favorites, appealing to fans of jam bands like Widespread Panic and Phish. By 1998, after establishing a solid following, the line-up included guitarists Christian deFrancqueville and Chris Kennedy, drummer Pete Bencini, trombonist Brian Kaplan, and brother and sister Terry and Shannon Lynch, on additional horns.

Rockin’ on the River is a free, family-friendly outdoor concert series held every other Wednesday starting June 28 until August 9 at 5:30 p.m. at the Riverfront Park in Troy. Outdoors along the banks of the Hudson River.
