The Attic Classic: The band BYRDS OF PREY were a four-man modern country rock group with a classic vibe. The core of the band was lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter Art LaFleur along with lead guitarist Steve Lamb, friends since high school. While Art and Steve would perform as an acoustic duo on occasion, they had drummer Tim Hurst as a key band member, providing rock-solid rhythm backing to a dual lead guitar attack that was supported by tight harmonies and when called for, subtle acoustic rhythms.

For the band’s 2006 CD ‘The Wave’ they had Mike Guzzo on bass and backing vocals. Leaving the band following the recording, Mike discovered he had some extra time to acquire and revive CRUMBS.net, an acronym for the Capital Region Ultimate Musicians & Band Site, a long running independent Capital Region music industry and scene resource.

Of the 9 tracks on the album, the Attic Classic is a co-written tune by Art & Steve, “Simple Love.”
