Albany’s Annual Wolff’s Biergarten Oktoberfest to be held on September 30th

ALBANY – Wolff’s Biergarten is hosting its annual Oktoberfest on September 30th. Wolff’s Biergarten’s Oktoberfest is a vibrant celebration that highlights century-old Bavarian culture by featuring authentic Bavarian food, a variety of traditional beers, live Polka music, numerous street vendors, thrilling Dachshund races, and so much more.

Festivities will take place all day, as Oktoberfest starts at 11:00 a.m. and doesn’t stop until 6:00 p.m. The majority of the celebration will take place on Broadway Street, as the entire block will be shut down and transformed into a traditional Bavarian scene.

Come ready to dance, sing, and clap your hands in excitement as Wolff’s enthusiastically welcomes live bands performing traditional German folk music along with beloved Oktoberfest classics throughout the day. Oktoberfest-based games such as Stein holding, keg bowling, and boot chugging will also be offered to attendees. Of course, feel free to get a little bit competitive, as there will be awesome prizes that come with winning one of these games.

Speaking of competitions, be sure to dress in your best Oktoberfest attire, as you’ll have the opportunity to participate in the Best Dressed Competition and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes. However, we humans won’t be the only ones competing as the notorious, thrilling, and comical wiener dog racing, where dachshunds take center stage in a race to the finish line, is back once again. Get ready to share a laugh as these tiny cute dogs show off their speed skills.

Of course, plenty of German-based food and drinks will be offered throughout the event. Delectable German delicacies such as bratwursts, soft pretzels, flavorsome sauerkraut, and savory schnitzels will all be offered by vendors. German beers will also be offered, as there would certainly be no Oktoberfest without beer involved. From crisp pilsners to rich bocks, drinks to satisfy that authentic German craving will undoubtedly be up for grabs. German wines and non-alcoholic beverages will also be options for those seeking an alternative!

Wolff’s Biergarten Oktoberfest 2023 ( 895 Broadway Albany, NY 12207) will occur on Saturday, September 30th, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Presale tickets are $20 plus tax and include a 1-liter commemorative stein. Admission at the door is $30. Must be 21 and over.
