Spin Cycle Lava brings the heat to The Colony on January 19

WOODSTOCK – Hudson Valley-based rock band Spin Cycle Lava is set to take the stage at The Colony in Woodstock on Jan. 19th with two other local bands, Geezer and Andalusion. Led by Michael Billera on vocals, the quartet is rounded out by Carl Peters on guitar, Colin Almquist on bass and Dan Cartwright on drums.

Spin Cycle Lava’s high-energy shows are driven by Billera’s unique vocals, as well as alter ego “The Clayman,” who, while painted in makeup from the waist to head, paces the stage blowing fire to the sonic elements created by the band.

Billera said the band will be playing old favorites alongside new songs they’ve been working on.

Joining them are Andalusion, a powerhouse in heavy rock. The band draws inspiration from the raw authenticity of grunge and the relentless energy of metal. From upstate New York, the dynamic four-piece seamlessly weaves brooding, gritty undertones and thunderous intensity with a commitment to crafting music that resonates on a visceral level. Andalusion takes their audiences on a musical journey through distorted riffs and intense lyrics.

On the other hand, Geezer, a trio from Kingston, New York, has a more boogie vibe to their sound. Groovy, their most vital release yet, pulled together what group leader Pat Harrington calls the “three pillars of Geezer: heavy, trippy, groovy” with a batch of memorable songs and easy-rolling vibes. It’s a rare band that finds its sound so engaging.
