Online satirist Randy Rainbow to play Proctors in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY – Online satirist Randy Rainbow is taking his show to Schenectady’s Proctors Theatre, LiveNation announced Monday.

Randy Rainbow is to appear at Proctors April 12 as part of his Randy Rainbow for President Tour.

The Schenectady stop is one of 26 new dates announced.

The singer and author “will take on the hottest topics and skewer politicos of the day as only he can, bringing his most viral video song parodies to life onstage,” a release reads.

His videos can be found on YouTube and regularly garner more than a million views.

The show is to also feature a live accompaniment by Broadway musicians and audience interactions, with original songs written by Rainbow with Marc Shaiman and Alan Menken.

Tickets are to go on sale beginning Wednesday at 11 a.m. with an artist presale and then general sale begins Friday at 11 a.m. at RandyRainbow.com.

Rainbow is to also appear in Syracuse Feb. 29 and Terrytown April 26.
