Stories from a Bar #41, Steve Barnes

In Episode 41 of Stories From A Bar, Chris joined by Steve Barnes, a local journalist from The Albany Times Union. Steve has been with the Times Union since 1996 and has become well known for his Table Hopping blog which focuses on the local arts and dining scenes.

During the episode, Steve goes on to talk about how he got into journalism and the effects of going from a hardcopy to the digital world. His sense of pride is also easy to hear as he talks about the professionalism Times Union staffers have maintained, especially over the last few years, as mainstream media has taken some huge hits. Perhaps most importantly, Chris and Steve also spend time chatting about how he was commissioned by The Colbert Report in 2012 to review the Night Moves Gentlemen’s Club in Latham from an aesthetic and artistic perspective.
